National Center for Civil and Human Rights
The National Center for Civil and Human Rights is a museum located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia that focuses on the achievements of the civil rights movement and the broader human rights movement. It was opened on June 23, 2014, and offers an informative and engaging experience for all ages.

The National Infantry Museum & Soldier Center in Columbus, Georgia is a destination for military history buffs. The museum is home to more than 70,000 historical artifacts. The museum also features interactive displays, such as an armory and cavalry gallery, and an outdoor World War II company street. National Center for Contemporary Arts
The National Center for Contemporary Arts in East Point, GA is a multidisciplinary arts center that is home to several major exhibitions and events. The building was originally a trolley car barn built in 1913 by the Georgia Railway and Power Company. It served as the terminus for a trolley car system that ran from Atlanta to Stone Mountain. The system was known as Atlanta Rapid Transit, or ART. In recent years, the building has been renovated to house the arts center. Its name ART Station comes from a 1913 photo of a trolley car that stood in front of the building. The words ART and Atlanta were painted on the side of the trolley car.
In 1983, curator Louise Shaw took over the organization and began making it a major art center. Shaw had previously worked as an assistant curator at the Atlanta Historical Society and the Georgia State gallery. The redheaded curator brought an international flare to the organization’s exhibitions. Her vision was to create a vibrant and creative environment for the community.
The museum’s permanent collection is small, but the museum offers regular exhibitions and community programming. Special emphasis is placed on commissions from emerging artists from the Southeast. Past exhibitions have featured works by Bryan Graf and Emma McMillan. The museum also hosts exhibits of mixed media, sculptures, and large-scale installations.
